I knocked one start because while this is set is soft it does NOT feel like 1400 count. I knocked another star because the comforter bunches up in the duvet and constantly has to be redistributed. That said, the price was so good I purchased 2 more sets to give as gifts to college student types who don't have a lot of linens.
